Morse Marine Boat Throttle Controls Manual

So, did I read lubricate with white lithium grease???? Mine was all gummed up with old crusty dried grease.so actuation of everything was almost binding. Just this past weekend I cleaned it all during this time verified it was the controls not the cables nor the shifting mechanism. (everything is smooth except the controls). After cleaning it was smoother but still a bit sticky. But before I grease it; I want to find out the proper lubrication.
Cj I'm rebuilding mine also, and would like to know the answer to this. When I pulled mine apart it was packed with an amber colored grease. Any suggestions on what kind of grease that was? As long as the parts are clean, I would lubricate them with the same marine grease I use everywhere else on my MasterCraft. This is not a high stress location for the grease. You are looking for a little lubrication and plenty of corrosion protection. There are probably more failures due to grease incompatibility than other causes (again, in this location I would not expect problems).
If you stick to the same marine grease for everything on your boat and trailer you will be fine. Google 'grease compatibility' and you can really get yourself confused. Does anyone know the throttle assembly that Morse used before having the Neutral interlock? Looks just like the MV2 series. I took mine apart and linkage blew all over the place and I'm concerned about putting it back together.

Here are some photos: From behind If anyone has a manual or knows anything about this, I'd appreciate any help. This bottom picture saved my bacon! I took my interior out to get redone but failed to take a picture of how the throttle was set up. Good old Teamtalk saved the day again!!!!
